This is a general estimate of the necessary expenses of a student during
a nine-month academic year. All charges are subject to change.

Tuition and
fees
- Room and Board The Cost of Attendance used to determine financial aid
eligibility is an average cost of on and off campus expenses (UND room and board contract
OR off campus rent, utilities and food)
- Books and Supplies: $700 average undergraduate cost.
- Personal Expenses: Range from $1800 to $2900.
Other expenses may be included on an individual basis. These expenses may
include: child care, flight costs, additional supplies required by academic program,
the purchase price of a personal computer (not to exceed $3500), etc. The addition
of these expenses must be requested in writing and documented.
Minnesota Reciprocity
- Graduating High School Seniors
- A student that has graduated from a Minnesota high school
within the previous 12 months before the first term of enrollment at a North
Dakota University System (NDUS) campus will not have to complete the
reciprocity application form. All other students attending a NDUS campus
must complete either the on-line or paper reciprocity form.

- Returning Students
- A Minnesota student who has attended and earned credit(s)
at an eligible NDUS campus will automatically be renewed for
reciprocity status for the upcoming academic year at the institution they attended.
Students that earned postsecondary credits, but dropped out for more than 12
months, must complete and submit either the on-line or paper reciprocity
application.
