1. Who is the president of UND?
The president of UND is Dr. Charles E. Kupchella. President Kupchella was named the tenth president of the The University of North Dakota on April 20, 1999. His official duties began July 1, 1999. President Kupchella's biography can be found on the President's Office Web site.

4. What are UND's colors?
In April 1889, the student body met and chose as school colors the pink and green of the prairie rose, "suggestive of our green prairies and rosy prospects." In the 1920s green and white were adopted as colors for UND athletic teams while pink and green continued to be used on the academic hoods of the University.

6. When was UND founded?
Founded by the Dakota Territorial Assembly in 1883, six years before statehood, UND was intended to be, and has remained, a university with a strong liberal arts college surrounded by a constellation of professional and specialized schools.

UND welcomes applications from first-year candidates, as well as from applicants seeking to transfer from other accredited universities or colleges, go.und.edu.

10. How do I transfer to UND from another university or college?
We know that the needs of transfer students are different from those of students who have never attended college. We provide you with service that is relevant to your unique needs – including timely answers to questions about transfer credit, and academic advisement. Transferring to The University of North Dakota is a breeze – just as long as the credit earned is freshman level or higher and from a regionally accredited college where the student is in good academic standing.
