To fulfill the mission of the University Learning Center, it is our goal to:

- enable students to apply those skills they are developing to actual classroom learning situations.
- provide faculty with services and resources for improving teaching and supplementing classroom instruction.
- offer individualized and self-paced academic assistance programs.
help students develop positive attitudes and confidence in their ability to learn.
To accomplish these goals, we strive to:
- keep learners as the central focus of the program and services. (Learners include students of all ages who are matriculating on a full-time or part-time basis, as well as faculty and staff.)
- assist the University in maintaining standards of academic excellence through programs and services to students and faculty.
- base programs on the philosophy that learning is influenced by cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains, thus involving the whole person.
