The University of North Dakota is seeking applicants, at the assistant or associate rank, for a tenure-track positions in Accounting, depending on available funding, beginning August 2010. A PhD or DBA with an accounting concentration is preferred; however, ABD and other doctorates, who have graduate level accounting course work and/or the CPA certificate, will be considered. Teaching interest related to tax, business, law, and financial accounting are not a primary need at this time. All applicants must be able to demonstrate a commitment to both teaching and research, and be academically qualified in accordance with AACSB standards. Professional certification is desirable. The College of Business and Public Administration is AACSB accredited at the MBA level. Salary dependent upon qualifications.

North Dakota invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level beginning
August 2010. Candidates should expect to have a Ph.D. by August 2010. We seek an applied
microeconomist with research and teaching interests in the area of labor or health economics. Primary
teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate (masters) courses in field (labor or health), as well as business & economic statistics. For tenure and promotion, publication in refereed journals is required. We are looking for candidates who will be accomplished researchers and successful teachers. Duties include teaching undergraduate courses in networking and an introductory course in Information Systems, research activity, and service to the department, college, university, and community. The position requires a Ph.D. in Information Systems or a related field as determined acceptable by the search committee. An advanced business degree such as an MBA or masters in education, marketing, management, or accounting would be helpful but not required; demonstrated effectiveness in teaching and research helpful. Network technology certifications from major industry leaders such as Cisco, Novell, and/or Microsoft will be considered positive. UND is AACSB accredited. The College of Business and Public Administration and the Faculty in the Department of Industrial Technology at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, invite applications for the following tenure track position. The Department of Technology has a fully accredited ATMAE program and includes new PC and Macintosh computer labs available for teaching and learning.

Assistant/Associate Professor of Technology to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses. The qualified applicant will primarily teach Technical Design courses in the Industrial Technology major using Autodesk software and will oversee the PC computer lab. The ability to teach Web Page Design and Multimedia Production courses in the Graphic Design Technology major is strongly desired.

In addition to the above description, the position requires involvement in theoretical and/or applied research, scholarly activities, presentation of papers, and publication in appropriate journals. Grant activities, outreach programs, committee work, curriculum development, and interaction with local and regional industry, and student advisement are also required.

Qualifications: The Doctorate in the discipline or a related field is preferred for the position, but ABD or Master's degree will be strongly considered. Doctorate required for tenure. Experience in teaching, research, and service is desired. Industrial experience and/or professional certification are added advantages. Excellent communication skills in English are a must.
