A
new poster campaign, “More Than Beads
and Feathers,” generates awareness of
UND’s American Indian graduates as professionals
in a variety
of fields. The posters
will be distributed around the state and may
also be used in advertisements. “This
poster campaign allows us to celebrate the accomplishments
of our graduates,” said
Robert
Boyd, Vice President for Student and Outreach
Services. “These nine
represent the hundreds of American Indian students
who have graduated from UND
and
built outstanding careers.” The posters
include the theme,
“Building Stronger American Indian Communities
One
Successful Student at a Time.”
“ People often think of
American Indians in the historical context.
This shows our alumni today.”
— Leigh Jeanotte, Director, American Indian
Student Services
