Lecturer Dyan Rey has taught Introduction to the Visual Arts, as well as drawing and art history survey courses for the University of North Dakota since 1997. She received her BFA from University of Oregon and her MFA from the University of North Dakota.
Rey’s imagery comes from working directly and intuitively with color, form, and interval to create abstractions of plant forms. There are references to the seed cycle of life and its symbolism of expansion and growth. She is currently working on an exhibition for the Governor’s office in Bismarck, North Dakota, which is planned to open in March 2007.
