| How to Support the College of Arts & Sciences |
 |
Universities rely heavily on the generosity of private individuals to undertake many of their most important initiatives. Gifts of cash, real estate, securities, equipment, trusts and estates will all greatly benefit the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of North Dakota, and will make possible its continued growth and the fulfillment of its educational mission.
For details, please see our 2005 Draft Development Plan (Word Doc) (PDF) |

- 1. Arts and Sciences Designated-Giving Fund
- When you make a gift to the College of Arts and Sciences, you may specify where your contribution goes. Select the Arts and Sciences Designated-Giving Fund to earmark your gift for a favorite department or program; to create a named scholarship or fellowship; to fund the purchase of new equipment or the construction of a new facility; or to establish a field of teaching or research which does not presently exist at the university.
To discuss a designated gift with the College, please contact Mike Meyer by phone (701-777-3669), fax (701-777-4397), or e-mail; or write to the College at the address above.
- 2. Dean's Discretionary Fund
The Dean's Discretionary Fund gives the College of Arts and Sciences the flexibility to take advantage of unexpected opportunities as they arise, and to meet any unforeseen needs in the College's many departments and programs. By providing this flexibility, the Dean's Discretionary Fund plays a vital role in strengthening the College's day-to-day operations and in keeping educational standards within the College high.
To discuss a discretionary gift with the College, please contact Mike Meyer by phone (701-777-3669), fax (701-777-4397), or e-mail; or write to the College at the address above.

3. Departmental Enhancement Funds
Departmental Enhancement Funds are gifts given directly to the College's departments and programs. A short e-mail or telephone query to the department chair or program director will bring you a prompt reply about projects specific to that discipline which can benefit from your support. Most departments and programs also have web pages which will familiarize you with their current activities and needs.
You will find contact information for all of the College's departments and programs on the Departments page of this website.
- 4. UND Foundation
- The UND Foundation is a non-profit corporation dedicated to the support of the entire University of North Dakota community. A gift made to the Foundation may be specifically earmarked for the College of Arts and Sciences or any of its departments and programs. You may donate to the Foundation on-line, or by phoning the Foundation at (701) 777-2611 or (800) 543-8764. The Foundation's mailing address is P.O. Box 8157 Grand Forks, ND 58201.
