The Northern Plains Biological Symposium began in 2003 by a group of students and faculty at North Dakota State University (NDSU). This group initiated the first symposium with several goals in mind. These goals facilitate an open discourse on relevant topics in the field of biological sciences. The symposium provides opportunities for local undergraduate and graduate students as well as faculty and professionals to present their research in a professional setting. The symposium is also designed to help local undergraduate students become exposed to aspects of a graduate and/or professional life in the biological sciences. The Northern Plains Biological Symposium has helped bring in more graduate students to the field of biological sciences.

This symposium provides a stepping stone for research in and around the area. We have created an atmosphere where people in the area who are interested and excited about the field of biology can gather and share ideas. The symposium brings together researchers of all levels and disciplines of biology.

Registration:

Registration is free and all who plan on coming are encouraged to register early so that we may get an accurate count for attendance.
