Concert Choir is the premiere auditioned choral
ensemble at UND. Concert Choir is the premiere auditioned choral ensemble at UND, performing a capella music in a wide variety of languages and styles. Concert Choir tours
frequently, and has performed at regional and
national conventions, as well as around the
United States and in Europe. The choir's thorough
preparation, concentrated discipline, commitment,
and careful coaching result in performances
of the highest caliber. The group meets five
days a week, and requires a full year commitment.

How
to Join |

Auditions
for Concert Choir (MUSC 260) will be held the
first two days of school (Aug. 26-27, 2008).
Sign-up sheets will be on Professor Bronfman's
office door (Room 122, HFAC), and will be available the week before CLASSES BEGIN.
For your audition, please prepare one solo
piece from the classical tradition with accompaniment.
An accompanist will be provided. You will also
be asked to sight read and sing a few scales.
Callbacks will be held August 28 and 29, 2008.
Rehearsals are M, W, F from 12:00-12:50 and
T, Th from 12:30-1:30 in HFAC 152. |

The Varsity Bards Men's Choir
has been a familiar tradition at the University
and around the state since 1952. The Bards perform
a variety of classical, light, and popular works.
The Bards work hard, but they know how to have
fun, too. They have appeared at state, regional,
and national conventions, and tour regionally.
A small men's ensemble, Goliards, is chosen
from within the group.

is no audition required to join Bards. If you
are interested in singing, just register for
the class and show up the first day. A short,
stress-free placement hearing is held during
the first rehearsal to determine your voice
type and quality.

Allegro Women's Choir continues
the historic tradition of excellence in choral
music at the University of North Dakota. Allegro
performs a variety of repertoire for women's
voices at several concerts throughout the year.
The group has performed at state and regional choral directors' conventions, and regularly tours throughout the region. A small women's ensemble, Vivo,
is chosen from within the ensemble.
