Services

The University of North Dakota Counseling Center (UCC) offers a wide range of services and programs for university students and the University community through teaching, training, and program development.

In large part, the programs and services are based on a systemic model of individual and community development.

The four areas that contribute to the model are:

1. characteristics of students
2. characteristics of the University community
3. interaction between student and the University environment and
4. the goals of the University of North Dakota and higher education

Using this model, the University Counseling Center maintains seven program components:

1. personal counseling
2. career counseling
3. substance abuse prevention
4. national and individual testing
5. graduate student training
6. consultation and
7. outreach programs
