| PROBLEMS AND CONCERNS
The University Counseling Center mission is to assist students who are experiencing problems and concerns as they progress toward their academic goals.
It is not uncommon for students to experience problems such as loneliness, depression, uncertainty about a major or career, sexual/physical abuse, substance abuse, anxiety, eating disorders, conflict in relationships, lack of motivation, sexuality and sexual orientation.
When these concerns arise during the course of a student’s educational career, they tend to interfere with maximum academic performance.
The University Counseling Center is a resource to help students confront these conflicts, develop personal awareness and overcome problems allowing them to take full advantage of their educational and academic opportunities.
ELIGIBILITY
All currently enrolled UND students are eligible for Counseling Center services. Spouses and partners of UND students may participate in couples counseling and adult residents of the UND apartment community are eligible for services at the satellite office located in the Apartment Community Center.
The University Counseling Center offers services without discrimination on the basis of race, creed, gender, sexual orientation, age, national origin or handicap.
