HOW FACULTY MEMBERS CAN HELP A DISTRESSED OR DISRUPTIVE STUDENT
Faculty/staff members have the primary role in talking with students and contacting others about student behavioral concerns.
If the behavioral issue is unresolved at the faculty/staff level, the next step is to consult with the Dean of Students Office (7-2664) or Counseling Center (7-2127).
The UCC has counselors available Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. to assist students on a walk-in basis.Therapists also provide direct consultation to faculty/staff who call with questions or concerns.
The Dean of Students Office is available to consult with faculty and staff members on Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Immediately call 911 to reach University Police (UPD) in the case of an emergency. UPD has both administrative authority and law enforcement powers through the Code of Student Life (CODE).
