Students with Temporary Medical Conditions, e.g.,
using crutches, hand in a cast - These students are
expected to make their own arrangements whenever possible. For example, students could ask
their roommates to bring food from the cafeteria or borrow class notes from a friend.
Students are responsible for discussing classroom needs with their professors. University faculty
may be able to help as a "courtesy service." Often, faculty can arrange to get copies of notes or
provide a scribe to record test answers.
Student Health can approve use of temporary accessible parking permits or permission to ride the
lift equipped van to class.
Students may be asked to show a doctor's note verifying the temporary condition and length of time the
services will be needed.
Students may also call DSS at 777-3425 for advice and assistance.
