This list of co-op and internship opportunities has disability as one of the eligibility criteria. It does not include opportunities available to all college students. That information is available at Career Services, 2nd floor, McCannel Hall and in some academic departments. Co-ops And Internships For Students With Disabilities

Emerging Leaders - summer internships with businesses; must have a minimum of 60 college credits; be a full time student the semester after the internship and maintain a 3.0 average: http://emerging-leaders.com/

Entry Point! - summer internships in Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, and some fields of Business; be a full time undergraduate or graduate student and have a 3.0 average or better: http://ehrweb.aaas.org/entrypoint/

Microsoft-AAPD Federal I.T. Internship Program - summer internships in information technology; must be at least 18 years old; completed a minimum of one semester in an associate's or bachelor's degree program at time of the application: http://www.aapd.com/internships/internship08/MS-AAPDinternInfo08.htm

Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation-AAPD Congressional Internship Program - an eight week congressional internship program on Capitol Hill: must be a college sophomore or junior when applying and have at least one semester left to complete at the end of the summer internship: http://www.aapd.com/internships/internship08/MEAFinternInfo08.htm

Motivating Undergraduates in Science and Technology Scholarship and Internship Program - must be an undergraduate majoring in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math; be a member of an underrepresented group, e.g., Women, African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans and persons with disabilities and have a 3.0 minimum GPA: http://scholarships.hispanicfund.org/applications/

NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program - semi-structured mentoring program for undergraduate students wishing to explore and better understand the field of student affairs and/or higher education; students and mentors apply as a pair; includes an internship and attending a conference; must identify as Black/African American, Asian, Hispanic/Latino(a), Indigenous (Native American, Alaskan, Hawaiian), Multiethnic, Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, having a physical or psychological disability; 2.2 GPA: http://www.naspa.org/programs/nufp/index.cfm

Public Service Internship Program - offered through the Washington Center; program combines academic credit and internship experience; must be an undergraduate; at least a second semester sophomore at the time of the internship; have a minimum GPA of 2.75: http://www.twc.edu/docs/OP_Disabilities_Fall2008.qxd.pdf

Summer Transportation Internship Program - undergraduate applicants must be juniors or seniors in the fall semester; Law applicants must be entering their second or third year in the fall; priority given to those with GPA's of 3.0 or better; must be available and able to participate in the 10-week program: http://www.fhwa.dot.gov/education/stipdg.htm

Fellowships For College Graduates With Visual Disabilities

Fellowship for Leadership Development - two year program that combines on-the-job experience with formal management training; must be legally blind; have an undergraduate degree; work experience; desire to travel and passion to become a business leader: http://www.nib.org/index.php and click on "Business Leadership Program."
