ADVERTISING AN EVENT:

Note:- Using physically accessible meeting rooms and buildings eliminates the need to change locations when access is requested.
HOW TO RESPOND TO A REQUEST FOR AN ACCOMMODATION:
The University Community has a responsibility to respond in a timely manner to requests for accommodations. "Timely” means the person
receiving the request initiates the steps necessary to arrange the accommodation as soon as it is received. Most requests for format
changes, e.g., large print or a sign language interpreter, can be arranged in less than 5 working days.
The request also needs to be "timely." It is reasonable to expect 3-5 days’ notice. However, we must always make a good faith effort
to provide the accommodation, even on short notice.
The cost of a reasonable accommodation is not a valid reason to deny or ignore the request. Disability Services for Students will
consult with you regarding possible funding options or how to provide the accommodation.
