Access Computing Team Internship Program – undergraduate college students interested in computing careers are eligible:

American Association on Health and Disability (AAHD) Scholarship Program - undergrad and graduate students are eligible. Preference given to students majoring in public health, disability studies, health promotion or a field related to disability and health:

American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation, Student With a Disability Scholarship – limited to full-time graduate students enrolled in a communication sciences and disorders program and who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement:

Americorps - full-time members earn an award of $4,725 to pay for college, graduate school or to repay student loans. Part-time members receive a partial award. Some members may also receive a modest living allowance: http://www.americorps.gov

Association of Specialized and Cooperative Library Agencies (ASCLA) Century Scholarship - must be accepted to an ALA-accredited Library Science Master’s or doctoral program and be either a U.S. or Canadian citizen:

Foundation for Science and Disability Student Award Program - students must be fourth year undergraduates who have been accepted to a graduate or professional school in the sciences (math, medicine, engineering, technology or science) and to graduate level science students. $1000 awards are to be used for an assistive device, instrument or other special need:

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR DEAF/HARD OF HEARING

Alexander Graham Bell Ass. for the Deaf – must have a moderate to profound hearing loss prior to acquiring spoken language (in the speech frequencies of 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz .) and use spoken communication as their primary mode of communication:

IADES(International Alumnae of Delta Epsilon Sorority) Fellowship Award – limited to deaf women pursuing a doctoral degree.  Do not have to be an alumnae of the Delta Epsilon Sorority or Gallaudet University.  Must be enrolled in a doctoral program and have successfully completed 12 or more graduate credits and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 (or better) for both master’s and doctoral work.  For an application, write to:  IADES Fellowship Award Committee, 2453 Bear Den Road, Frederick, MD 21701.

Sertoma International – limited to students with a minimum of 40dB bilateral hearing loss and a minimum of 3.2 GPA:

Gerald and Edith Wallace Scholarship – must be a member of a North Dakota farm family. First priority given to a student from Burke County. The award amount award is based on financial need and available funds:

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR VISUAL DISABILITIES

American Council of the Blind – all legally blind, full-time students admitted to academic and vocational post-secondary training programs are eligible to apply. Part-time students who work full-time can apply for the John Hebner Memorial Scholarship. A cumulative GPA of 3.3 is generally required, but extenuating circumstances may be considered for certain scholarships:

Amputation

Claude S. Weiler Scholarship for Amputee College Students - must have a major limb amputation i.e., loss of a limb beginning at or above the wrist or ankle:

Autism

Autism Society of America – CVS/All Kids Can Scholars Program awards scholarships to individuals with autism who have successfully met all the requirements for admission into an accredited post-secondary program of study: http://www.autism-society.org/about-us/awards-scholarships/

Cancer

Cancer for College - must be either a current or former cancer patient currently attending either a four year or graduate school:

Ryan Mullaly Second Chance Fund - cancer diagnosis or recurrence must have occurred between the ages of 13 and graduation from high school and must have undergone treatment for cancer while in high school:
