A new poster campaign, More Than Beads and Feathers," generates awareness of UND's American Indian graduates as professionals in a variety of fields. Two of our graduates are featured in the campaign and were honored this past April during a special program, A Celebration of Achievements: American Indian Graduates of UND.
Twyla Baker-Demaray received her Master of Science degree in education general studies with a focus in research methodologies from UND in 2005. She currently works as a research analyst at the National Resource Center on Native American Aging in Grand Forks. She is a member of the Mandan, Hidatsa, & Arikara Nations.
Patricia Walking Eagle graduated from UND in 1992 with a Master's Degree in Educational Administration. She is principal of a Pre K-5 school, Tate Topa Tribal School in Fort Totten, North Dakota. She is an enrolled member of the Spirit Lake Nation.
