Policies

Access to the Facility
The facility will be open from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday except when a University recognized holiday occurs on one of those days. Access to the facility at all other times and days can be arranged through the Facilities Communications Center.

Who may use the facility? UND students, staff, faculty, and alumni.
UND students, staff, faculty, alumni, and their immediate family members may use the facility for weddings and receptions. An immediate family member is defined as son, daughter, stepson, stepdaughter, mother, father, and grandchild.

Reservations and Fees
UND students, faculty, staff, and alumni who wish to use the facility for a wedding or reception must first contact Debbie Merrill at 701-777-4878 or debbie.merrill@email.und.edu a minimum of two weeks prior to the event. After confirming the availability of the facility and the necessary forms are completed, a non-refundable facility usage fee of $550 is due. 

The usage fee includes seating for 140 guests, a podium, two wireless mics, two 60”x30” rectangular tables, clavinova, baby grand piano, parking signs, and a Facility representative who is on duty during the rehearsal and event. Additional fees will be charged for any services or equipment not mentioned above. 

Alcohol/Smoking Policy
Use or consumption of alcohol in the facility will be limited to wine used for communion purposes in conjunction with a religious event. UND campus is tobacco free.

Food Policy
A small reception could be held in conjunction with a wedding. Dining Services will do all catering for the facility. Groups may not bring any outside food to the facility or grounds outside the facility without the consent of Dining Services. Charges for catering will be billed directly by Dining Services. Parking Policy
Parking is available for participants of the event and needs to be coordinated in advance with the UND Parking Office at 777-3551. A parking area or areas will be designated for people attending the event. In order to provide for safety on campus, UND parking regulations are enforced 24/7. Parking outside of designated areas could result in violation of regulations and the issuance of a citation.

Decorations for Weddings and Receptions
There cannot be anything attached to the inside or outside walls of the facility. No glitter, table sprinkles or confetti is allowed in the facility or on the grounds outside the facility. The throwing of rice, birdseed, silly string, soap bubbles or confetti is not permitted inside the facility. Birdseed and soap bubbles are permitted outside the facility.

Candles or other open flame devices will only be allowed with prior approval from UND Campus Safety & Security. Please contact Safety and Environmental Health at 777-3341 for more information on candle burning at the facility. Candles or other open flame devices for an event must be clearly identified on the Special Events Form completed for the event.
