Recycling Program
The University of North Dakota recognizes the value to the community and to the nation to recycle resources. It is also committed to protecting natural resources and preventing pollution. The recycling program collects all paper types, cardboard, scrap metals, aluminum, glass, plastic, and yard waste is composted. Through waste audits and funding availability a determination is made for recoverable materials. Pick-up service is contracted with a local recycling company. Individuals collect and place recyclables into conveniently located receptacles within the buildings. Containers are labeled and specifications are displayed. University Building Services Technicians empty these containers for pick-up service.
