ENTRANCE LOAN COUNSELING
All of the federal student loan programs, including the
Federal Perkins Loan, Federal Nursing Loan, Federal Stafford Loan and Federal Unsubsidized
Stafford Loan, require that a student attend an Entrance Loan Counseling Session before
loan checks may be released.
You must complete the following
on-line version of Entrance Loan Counseling to satisfy this requirement at UND.
Students who have been awarded a Federal Stafford Loan
ONLY (subsidized
and/or unsubsidized) complete the Stafford Loan Only
Entrance Loan Counseling.
Students who have been awarded a Federal Stafford Loan
AND a Federal Perkins Loan complete the
Stafford/Perkins Entrance Loan Counseling.
Please complete ONE of the following:
Stafford Loan Only Entrance Loan Counseling
Stafford/Perkins Loan Entrance Loan Counseling
Students who have been awarded a Federal
Nursing Loan must also complete the following entrance loan counseling
session:
Nursing Loan Entrance Loan Counseling
Students borrowing a Federal Grad
PLUS Loan must also complete the following entrance loan counseling
session:
Grad PLUS Loan Entrance Loan Counseling
Once you have completed your entrance loan counseling
session(s), the Student Financial Aid Office will be notified electronically. This notification may not happen immediately so it is to your
advantage to complete this requirement well in advance of the expected
disbursement date of your first loan.
Student Loan funds cannot be disbursed until
entrance loan counseling has been completed.
