EXIT LOAN COUNSELING

Students are also required to attend an Exit Loan Counseling Session if they drop below half-time enrollment, withdraw, or before the end of their last term of enrollment at UND.

Students who have borrowed a Federal Stafford Loan ONLY (subsidized and/or unsubsidized) complete the Stafford Loan Only Exit Loan Counseling.

Students who have borrowed a Federal Stafford Loan AND a Federal Perkins Loan complete the Stafford/Perkins Exit Loan Counseling

Students who have borrowed a Federal Stafford Loan AND a Federal Grad PLUS Loan complete the Stafford/Grad PLUS Exit Loan Counseling.

Please complete ONE of the following:

Stafford Loan Only Exit Loan Counseling

Stafford/Perkins Loan Exit Loan Counseling

Stafford/Grad PLUS Exit Loan Counseling

Students who have borrowed a Federal Nursing Loan must also complete a separate exit loan counseling session:

Students who have borrowed a Federal Perkins Loan (and did not complete the Stafford/Perkins Exit Loan Counseling session above) must complete the following exit loan counseling session:

Students who have borrowed a Federal Grad PLUS Loan (and did not complete the Stafford/Grad PLUS Exit Loan Counseling session above) must complete the following exit loan counseling session:

Grad PLUS Loan Exit Loan Counseling

Please note:   if you have borrowed a Medical Loan at UND, you must contact the UND Student Account Services Office directly to complete exit loan counseling. 

Once you have completed your exit loan counseling session, the Student Financial Aid Office and Student Account Services will be notified electronically.

The National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) Student Access site is available for students to view their loan and grant records and obtain balance and loan holder information.

The SFA Ombudsman Office is available to help student loan borrowers informally resolve loan disputes and problems.  The telephone number is 1-877-557-2575, the web address is http://www.ombudsman.ed.gov/.
