2010-11 Academic Year

Eligibility Information:

  • Student must have completed two semesters as a full-time undergraduate student at the University of North Dakota to be considered for this scholarship. 

    • Exchange student status does not count toward meeting this requirement, for example:  Bilateral Exchanges programs, Eurasian Undergraduate Exchange Program.

  • A minimum of 10 hours per semester of service to UND and the Grand Forks community is required; for example:  Thursday Night Cultural Series, Feast of Nations, Mentoring Program.

    • Current recipients:  The Service Activities Report is due to the Student Financial Aid Office on or before the last day of final exams for each semester. Each service event must be supported by a signed verification form for service activities.

    • Current recipients:  The Service Verification Form is to be completed for each service activity. It is required that the person in charge (professor, RA, ISA or other organization officer, etc.) sign this form to verify the type and duration of service.

  • Student must be a F-1 or J-1 (non-supported) student in valid status with the Department of Homeland Security.

  • Student must be determined to have financial need.  The Undergraduate International Student Tuition Scholarship Application will assist in the assessment of financial need.

  • Student must be enrolled and attend classes on campus at the University of North Dakota as a full-time student (12 semester hours) seeking his/her first degree.  Exceptions may be granted based on curriculum if major mandates otherwise.  Student must complete a minimum of 12 credit hours for every semester previously enrolled at UND.

  • Student must be in compliance with the Student Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy earning a minimum institutional cumulative grade point average of 2.60.

  • Student must be in good financial standing with the University of North Dakota Student Account Services office.

  • Geographical diversity will be considered.

  • The maximum length of time any student may receive the tuition scholarship may not exceed eight semesters.

  • To receive top consideration, each applicant (new and returning) must apply for the scholarship by April 1. 

  • Committee discretion will be used to grant exceptions to any area of the criteria.

Please note:  The Dynamic Forms application will time out after a period of inactivity.  When possible, it is recommended that you cut and paste into the form instead of composing directly in Dynamic Forms.

Dynamic Forms works best with Internet Explorer 7.0.

This application will require that you set up a log-in and password the first time you access Dynamic Forms.  Remember your log-in and password because you will be able to use this log-in to access other UND forms that are located in this secure web environment. 

This form will be automatically submitted to the UND Student Financial Aid Office when you electronically sign the form after completion.  If you choose not to electronically sign the form, you must print and send the form to the Student Financial Aid Office for processing.

The first time you log in, you will be required to make a number of profile changes:
 
Username – the user must select a username:
• At least eight characters in length
• Must begin with a letter
• Must contain at least one digit
Password – the user must select a new password:
• Must be at least eight characters in length
• Cannot contain the username
• Must contain characters from three of the four following groups:
o Lower case letters
o Upper case letters
o Numbers
o Alphanumeric characters or symbols
Security question & answer – the user must choose a security question and provide an answer to that question.
