An Essential Studies Program for First Year Students
Integrated
Studies Program
General Information
For more than 20 years, the Integrated Studies Program has provided an alternative method for first year students to fulfill their university Essential Studies Requirements.
Rather than taking separate courses in a large lecture bowl setting, the Integrated Studies Program provides students an opportunity to:
- Engage in small, student-centered discussion style classes
- Gain credits in required university classes
- Integrate topics from classes together as well as with their daily lives
- Be exposed to new methods of critical thinking and problem solving
- Develop a constructive relationship with professors
The registrar's list of Essential Studies (formerly "general education") requirements can be found by clicking here.
