An Essential Studies Program for First Year Students:
General Information
For more than 20 years, the Integrated Studies Program has provided a unique way for first year students to fulfill their University Essential Studies (general education) requirements.
Rather than taking separate courses in a large lecture bowl setting, the Integrated Studies Program provides students an opportunity to:
- Engage in small, student-centered discussion style classes
- Gain required credits in Essential Studies courses
- Integrate topics from classes together as well as with their daily lives
- Be exposed to new methods of critical thinking and problem solving
- Develop a constructive relationship with professors and other students
Information on the University's Essential Studies requirements can be found by clicking here.
