The Integrated Studies Program has partnered with the American College of Norway since 2005. Each spring we send a faculty member from Integrated Studies to teach Integrated Studies-style courses at American College . Students from ISP and UND in general accompany the faculty member and enroll in classes at ACN for the entire spring semester.
American College is, essentially, a branch campus of UND, located 45 minutes south of Oslo in the small, coastal city of Moss . All courses taught there are UND courses and the tuition is the same for these courses as it is for courses taught on UND's main campus. Since these courses are UND courses, there are no transfer issues which many students encounter when they study abroad at other international universities.
Integrated Studies students who take advantage of this opportunity meet students from around the world at this international college. Though many students there are from Norway , many are also from Africa, Asia, and other portions of Scandinavia .
Since Moss , Norway is centrally located to many international airports, students who study at ACN enjoy the opportunity to travel widely throughout Europe and Eastern Europe .
Many of the international students who attend ACN come to the U.S. and continue their study at the University of North Dakota, so the international friendships students form can continue throughout their college experience.
