Instructions for Purchasing Dell Computers from Current Computer Quotes

 

 

1.   Decide on the computer and the various upgrades that you want to include on your computer.

 

2.   Prepare a Purchase Order or you may use your department credit card.  The amount of the total order will determine which document is required.

 

Ensure that you state the following in the Purchase Order:

 

a.   Model of computer you desire to purchase

b.   State the various options you desire B each option should be a line item on the purchase order

c.   State the Dell quote number

d.   State on the request that the quotes and upgrade sheets are attached.

e.   State on the Purchase request that this order is not to be duplicated.  Order will be faxed.

 

3.   Forward your purchase order request to UND Purchasing.  Remind Purchasing that you intend to fax the order to Dell.  Please note, POs may be faxed directly to Dell and must contain the Bill to and Ship to address information.  Please consult with April Johnson at Dell before preparing the PO for purchase.

 

4.   Pickup your Purchase Order and fax the order to Dell.

b.   The following must be faxed to Dell:

 

Cover page stating your contact information

Side one of the purchase order

Side two of the purchase order

Each page of the Dell Quote (see quote pages)

Options upgrade page (see quote pages)

 

c.   Retain the originals for your records.
