Things you'll need before you start:
An e-mail address with one of the following: U-mail, CAS, or the School of Medicine. If you have not yet activated your U-mail account, visit the ITSS E-mail Information page: http://www.und.nodak.edu/dept/itss/email.html
Connect your computer to the phone jack by using a telephone cable. The cable should plug into the “Line” jack on your computer (not the “Phone” jack).
*NOTE: Windows Vista is not currently supported by UND; therefore, even though steps have been provided for configuring UND dial-up with Vista, ITSS and UND may not be able to further assist you beyond these instructions.
Follow the Procedures Below to Set up Your PPP Dial-Up Access Using Windows Vista:
Click Start >> Connect To.
In the “Connect to a network” window, click Set up a connection or network.
When choosing a connection option, select Set up a dial-up connection. Click Next.
Click Create New Connection. The New Connection Wizard will open. Click Next.

For Dial-up phone number, enter 7770123.
For User Name, enter your entire e-mail address (ex. jane.doe@und.nodak.edu).
For Password, enter your e-mail password. If you would like the password to be saved, select Remember this password.
For Connection name, enter UND PPP (or whatever you would like your Desktop icon to be labeled).
Click Connect to have your computer try to access the UND dial-up system.
