PPP Dial-Up Access with Windows XP

Things you'll need before you start:

An e-mail address on one of the following:  U-mail or with CAS or the School of Medicine. If you have not yet activated your U-mail account, visit the ITSS E-mail Information page: http://www.und.nodak.edu/dept/itss/email.html

Follow the Procedures Below to Set up Your PPP Dial-Up Access Using Windows XP:

Click Start/My Computer

Click My Network Places

Click View Network Connections

Click Create New Connection. The New Connection Wizard will start. Click Next.

Click Connect to the Internet. Click Next.

Click Set up my Connection Manually. Click Next.

Click Connect Using a Dial-up Modem. Click Next.

For ISP Name, enter UND PPP. Click Next.

For Phone Number enter 7770123 or if you wish to use the 15 minute modem pool, enter 7770125. Click Next.

For User Name enter your entire e-mail address.

For Password enter your e-mail password. Enter the password again in Confirm Password.

Leave the three boxes checked and click Next and then click Finish.
