PPP Dial-Up Access with Windows 2000

Things you'll need before you start:

An e-mail address on one of the following: U-mail or with CAS or the School of Medicine. If you have not yet activated your U-mail account, visit the ITSS E-mail Information page: http://www.und.nodak.edu/dept/itss/email.html

Follow the Procedures Below to Set up Your PPP Dial-Up Access Using Windows 2000:

From your desktop:

Double Click My Network Places

Click Network and Dialup Connection

Double Click Make New Connection. The Network Connection Wizard will start. Click Next.

Click Dial-up to the Internet. Click Next.

Click I want to set up my Internet connection manually. Click Next.

Click I connect through a phone line and modem. Click Next

For Phone Number enter 7770123 or if you wish to use the 15 minute modem pool, enter 7770125 or if you're dialing from on campus enter 70123 (70125) . Click Next.

For User Name enter your entire e-mail address. For Password enter your e-mail password. Click Next

For Connection Name type in a name for your connection. For example: Dial UND. Click Next

Click No. Click Next

Uncheck box. Click Finish
