Creating a Spam filter Using Eudora

To create a filter:

• Select Filter from the Tools menu.
• Click New and build the filter as follows:
  1. Match: Select the checkbox for Incoming
  2. Header: Click the drop down box and choose Subject:
  3. Contains: enter the text to filter on, e.g. {SPAM???}
  4. Action: Click the drop down box and choose "Transfer to".
  5. Click the drop down box to c hoose a folder (e.g. trash or junk) if the folder is listed. To create a new folder, click New and enter the name of the folder (e.g. junk) and click OK.
     
     
     
• Close the window, you will be prompted to save changes, choose Yes.

New messages with {SPAM???} in the subject will now go to the folder specified (e.g. junk), you should check through the messages and delete as appropriate.
