MySQL Login Procedures

 To log in, you will need to use the UND proxy server as follows:

1. Start Internet Explorer
2. Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Connection Tab and click on the LAN Settings button
3. Check the checkbox under Proxy server and enter the following:
   • Address: jade.und.nodak.edu
   • Port: 8080
4. Click Ok, Ok
5. Enter the following URL
   https://dragonite.und.edu/myadmin/
6. The Welcome to UND Proxy Server message will display.
   Enter your U-mail username (the part before the @ , e.g. joe.doe ) and U-mail password.
   Click OK.
7. The phpMyAdmin login screen will display. Login using your MySQL username and password.

You may want to disable the proxy server when you aren't accessing phpMyAdmin by unchecking the checkbox in Step 3. Instructions for using the proxy server with other browsers can be found at: http://www.und.edu/dept/itss/Usernotes/UserNoteI9.html

PHP File Transfer

1. You will need to use a secure transfer client. WinSCP is available on the UND download page at: http://www.und.nodak.edu/dept/undhelp/downloads/softwaredownload.htm
   
   Note : If you prefer to use another SFTP Client that is fine, ITSS has tested the WinSCP Option. ITSS does not endorse any specific software.

2. Download the WinSCP software to your local hard drive

3. Open the folder and double click on the .exe file

4. Start WinSCP.
5. Click New and add the following:
   

   Host name: www2.und.edu Username: Your Account Name Password : Password provided by ITSS Protocol: SFTP (allow SCRP fallback) should be checked. Click Save A session profile will be added to the list of stored sessions, e.g. your_account_name@www2.und.edu.

   
   
6. To access the server, double-click the session profile.
