Software Support Levels

This document addresses the level of computer software support that the UND community can expect to receive from ITSS. Please note that if software is not listed, it is not supported.

Descriptions of Level of Support Categories:

Level 1: Full Support – This software is supported for the university. This means that it is preinstalled on new machines or available for installation on capable machines. Requests for purchase and installation will be handled through your department software coordinator. This product is supported to the extent of University ITSS staff experience, knowledge and time available.

Level 2: Partial Support - This is software available through University site license agreements or ITSS supported third party software. Requests for purchase and installation will be handled through your department software coordinator.  This product is supported to the extent of University ITSS experience, knowledge and time available.

Level 3: Limited Support - This product may be supported to the extent of University ITSS staff experience, knowledge and time available.

Level 4: Minimal Support - This is not University supported software.  This product may be supported to the extent of University ITSS staff experience, knowledge and time available.

Level 5:  No Support - Software not supported or recommended by ITSS due to incompatibility and performance issues.
