ISPF: Create a New File

Type P at the Select Option ===> command line. Press Enter. |

Type 3 at the Option ===> command line. Press Enter. |

Type 2 at the Option ===> command line. Press Enter. |

Type M at the Option ===> command line.

Tab to Project field and enter your Userid as 1st qualifier of your filename. |

Tab to Group field and enter your 2nd qualifier filename. |

Tab to Type field and enter the 3rd qualifier of your filename.
Press Enter to go to the "Allocate New Data Set" screen. |

Accept the default settings on the Allocate New Data Set by pressing Enter. |

You will see a message in the upper right portion of the screen indicating the data set has been allocated. You may now Edit the file by going to the ISPF Primary menu. |
