Calendar
and Task Reminders
You can specify how and when to notify upcoming
events and tasks by using Calendar. Each event inherits the users' default
notification settings. You can also customize notification settings for each
event or task.
To customize notifications:
Click Options on the main screen
- Click Notifications.
The Notification tab appears in the central
panel. The following properties of notifications are displayed:
- Enable
Event Notifications
- Invitations
Notifications
- Select the Enable Event
Notifications check box to enable notifications for your events.
Once you enable the event notifications
option, you can set the following attributes for the
event:
- The
time interval before the start of the event. You can set the time
interval by choosing from the drop-down list. The following options are
available:
By default, event notifications are set to 30
minutes before the start of the event.
- You
can receive event notifications in the following ways.
- Email
: If you want to receive event notifications by email,
enable the Send notifications to email address check box and
provide the email address to which you want to be notified for the
event.
- SMS
: If you want to receive event notifications by SMS,
enable the SMS notifications to the following address check box
and provide the phone number to which you want to receive the
notifications.
- Enable the Notify me
via email of new invitations or invitation changes check box to
receive notifications of new or changed invitations.
- Click Save
