Vacation message

 

 U-mail allows the creating of a vacation message. Vacation messages are messages that you can set to be sent to all the senders of emails in your absence. Vacation messages are a way to let the senders know that you are on vacation. It usually contains information of the duration for which you are on vacation.

 

To set up a Vacation Message click Options on the main screen.

  1. Click Vacation Message.

The Vacation Message tab appears in the central panel.

  1. Check the Enable auto-reply box.

This enables your inbox to send replies automatically to all incoming messages.

  1. Select the start and end date from the vacation duration pane.

  2. Each sender will receive an automated reply when they send their first message. You can set the number of hours after which an auto reply is again sent to the same sender. A value of zero means that every message results in an auto reply. Enter the duration in hours in the Hours between replies field.

  3. Type the vacation message for both coworkers and other senders in the respective text areas.

  4. Click Save Preferences.
