Richard B. Black Papers: 1902-1992; UND graduate, class of 1926. Was a member of Admiral Richard Byrd's second Antarctic Expedition, 1933-1935. Visited the Antarctic again with Byrd in 1939 and 1955.

John Disher Papers: 1921-1988; UND graduate, class of 1943. Exploration of space with the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Was involved with the Mercury, Apollo and Skylab projects.

Kensington Rune Stone Collection: Collection of various materials, mainly journal and newspaper articles, surrounding the Rune Stone found near Kensington, Minnesota, in 1898

Vilhjalmur Stefansson Papers: 1879-1962; Attended UND from 1897-1902. Exploration of the Arctic and the Canadian Northwest, and author of over 20 books and 400 articles related to the region.
