ACQUISITION: This addition to the Donald Dresden Papers was deposited in the Orin G. Libby Manuscript Collection by Marta Dresden, Washington, D.C., in March 1987 (Acc.#87- 1511).

ACCESS: Open for inspection under the rules and regulations of the Department of Special Collections.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

This addition to the Donald Dresden Papers dates from 1955-1980 and consists of two published magazine articles written by Dresden. "Our Far-Flung Correspondents: The Absolute in Grasse," was published in the October 8, 1955, edition of The New Yorker, while "Plains Fare: The Kitchen is Where the Heart is when the Air Chills to 40 Below,” appeared in The Washington Post Magazine on November 30, 1980. Also included is a rough draft of an article entitled “Mansions,” as well as correspondence and pamphlets related to the history and business of mansions.
