INTRODUCTION

AQUISITION: The addition to the North Dakota Association for the Education of Young Children records were deposited in the Orin G. Libby Manuscript Collection as a gift by Sara Hanhan, Grand Forks, North Dakota, on July 25, 1991.

ACCESS: Open for inspection under rules and regulations of the Department of Special Collections.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

The addition to the North Dakota Association for the Education of Young Children records consists of meeting minutes, correspondence, newsletters, conference and workshop brochures, dealing with NDAEYC, on both state and local levels, encompassing the years 1982 - 1990. Also, included are correspondence, newsletters, minutes and agendas concerning NDAEYC's backing for legislation of child seat belt restraint laws, dating from 1984 to 1986. The addition is divided into eight series.

SEPARATIONS RECORD

In addition to these series, there is twelve photographs dating from 1984 to 1988, that have been removed to the Orin G. Libby Photographic Collection. Ten of the photographs are 3 1/2x5 color photographs of NDAEYC members at a Midwest AEYC conference. The remaining two photographs are 8x10 black and white photographs of former North Dakota Governor Allen Olson and two unidentified members of NDAEYC.
