ACQUISITION:The Michigan School District Collection was deposited in the Orin G.Libby Manuscript Collection by Frank Wilde, Thompson, ND, on November 10, 1992 (Acc # 93-1882).

ACCESS: Open for inspection under the rules and regulations of the Department of Special Collections.

BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Michigan School District, 107, was located in Michigan township, Grand Forks County, North Dakota. The original school building burned down in 1932. Classes were held in a rented building until a new school house was built later that year. Michigan School was absorbed into the Thompson School in 1953.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

The Michigan School District collection consists of one ledger sized record book. The book includes meeting minutes and financial records spanning the years 1931-1957.
