ACQUISITION:This addition to the Glinda Crawford Papers was deposited in the Orin G. Libby Manuscript Collection by Glinda Crawford, Department of Sociology, University of North Dakota, on August 8, 1997 and August 20, 1999 (Acc.#99-2283) .
ACCESS: Available for inspection under the rules and regulations of the Department of Special Collections.
The first folder (21) of this addition contains a rubber stamp bearing the phrase "Home Economics Educates Women for Life" and a note by Glinda Crawford describing the stamp's history in UND's Department of Home Economics and Nutrition.
The second folder (22) contains "Moving to Higher Ground: Seeking Wisdom from Earth, River and Critters in the Wake of the 1997 Flood," a booklet by Crawford. It is a reflection of the events before, during and, mainly, after the Flood of 1997. It describes in detail the plethora of tasks that awaited residents when they returned to Grand Forks and the differing emotions involved in those ordeals.
The third folder (23) contains a poem by Crawford titled "Poem from the River." It is about the Flood of 1997.
