Materials new to CFL:
Catalog on OCLC as UNDW and produce enough extra cards to match the number of volumes being processed.
Pencil call number inside book: SP.COL. RARE BOOK
Materials held by CFL:
Change bibliographic record in online system to UNDW
Correct call number inside book in pencil: SP.COL. RARE BOOK
Type on acid-free card: author, title, call number and OCLC number

Attach one barcode to shelflist card and place in book
Leave one barcode on backing for SP.COL. staff to use on storage boxes
Create item record according to library policy
Materials held by CFL:
Attach one barcode to typed card and place in book
Leave one barcode on backing for SP.COL. staff to use on storage boxes
Modify item record according to library policy

sixteenth- and seventeenth-century imprints, American imprints before 1820, first edition, limited editions, de luxe editions, specially
illustrated editions, books in fine bindings, unique copies, books of interest for their associations."
Also consider:
- North Dakota publications prioir to 1889
- Publications in OCLC with 10 or fewer libraries with holdings AND few/none other editions
- Publications published in any state before its statehood
- Special publications unique in small number published, special binding, signed by author, numbered edition, etc.
