Abstract:
We will report on joint work with Simon Gindikin and Robert Stanton.
For a Riemannian symmetric space X=G/K there exists a certain G-invariant complex Stein neighborhood $\Xi$ of X, the so-called complex crown (first considered by Akhiezer and Gindikin). In this talk we will explain the role of $\Xi$ for the harmonic analysis on X. Applications to complex geometry and number theory will be given.
