Occassionally cadets get to take advantage of the relationship that the Fighting Sioux Battalion has built with the Army National Guard.

Recently an Army National Guard pilot working for the University of North Dakota as a helicopter flight instructor flew a Blackhawk helicopter to the Grand Forks airport to give cadets a ride.
