During the spring of each year the Fighting Sioux Battalion sends a group of 2-person teams to compete in the Regional 2-Man Ranger Challenge competition. The cadets train for months in preparation for the grueling physical and mental tasks in which they will face.

The 2-Man Team consisting of cadets Jericho Kouba and Laura Grun took 3rd place during the Spring 2007 2-Man Ranger Challenge regional competition hosted by the Wentworth Military Academy.
