St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center

The Newman Center is a place of worship for the students of the University of North Dakota. It is a place of growth in the knowledge of our Lord and His Church. It is also a place where friends come together for work, study and play.

St. Thomas Aquinas offers many opportunities to learn about the Catholic Faith. Whether you are Catholic and want to enhance your faith or a non-Catholic wanting to learn more.

FOCUS - Many Bible studies through the Fellowship of Catholic University Students.

Classes of particular interest - Such as Councils of the Church, Medical Ethics etc.

Spiritual Retreats - Several opportunities are given throughout the year to "get away" with the Lord.

Fireside Chats - Hosted by Fr. Courtright. Informal questions and discussion.

Library - Many books on faith are located in the lower level library.

Our many student activities include: ski trips, dances, movie nights and of course our annual bike race against NDSU Newman Center. We also have picnics, spaghetti feeds, and intramural sports.

You may get involved in St. Vincent de Paul, Knights of Columbus, Collegians for Life or help with the Giving Tree.

The Newman Center has opportunities to get involved in the CCD Program, or help at Mass by becoming a Lector, Mass Coordinator, Server or becoming an Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Eucharist. If Music is your interest, we have many to be involved in.

We have quiet rooms available for study. We also have a TV room to relax in, a fireside lounge, a game room complete with pool table and foosball table. In our auditorium the coffee is always on and the popcorn is fresh!! Internet access is always available. Bring your PC or use the computers provided.
