| Communicating Expectations for Effective Teaching
UND's new policy lists five basic expectations of all faculty in regard to teaching:
- respect for students
- command of the subject matter
- careful preparation
- effective communication
- continuing professional growth
In most cases, departments will want to specify additional expectations. See the following websites for examples of how departments at other universities articulate their expectations.
