Faculty
Instructional Development Committee
The
Faculty Instructional Development Committee.
elected by the University Senate, provides support
for course and curriculum development that goes
beyond the means of individual faculty members
and academic units. The Committee is responsible
for all decisions having to do with FIDC grants
and Summer Instructional Development Professorships.
It also advises the OID Director on other matters
.
Time
Commitment: The Committee meets for
one hour per month during the academic year
to discuss and vote on FIDC, Mini-Grand and
SIDP proposals. Ordinarily, preparation for
meetings requires no more than an hour. The
only exception is the February meeting, in which
Summer Professorship applications are considered.
This meeting may go longer and require somewhat
more preparation time.
