The narrative of the final report will reflect the grant program you applied to. Possible questions as related to specific programs are listed here.

  • FIDC Grant for Travel to a Conference for Pedagogical Development:  What did you learn as a result of the conference or workshop? If relevant, would you recommend this conference/workshop to others?

  • FIDC Grant for Travel to Make SoTL Presentations: How did attending this conference and presenting your research further your SoTL research agenda?

  • FIDC Materials/Software/Equipment Grant: How has your purchase contributed to your students’ learning? If relevant, would you recommend these or similar materials/software/equipment to others?

  • Summer Instructional Development Professorship, Mini-Project Grant or Developmental Leave Travel and Materials Award:  What did you produce as a result of your funding? (Enclose copy of syllabus, course packet, or other materials if relevant.) How did your work on this project affect student learning in your course?

Important note on SIDPs and Mini Project Reports: In addition to the Final Report due after you have taught the course, we also need a brief Preliminary Report upon completion of your 1-4 scheduled weeks of work. That report (a paragraph or two is fine) should simply give us an update on what you were able to accomplish over the summer and what work, if any, remains to be done on the project.

  • Departmental or College Retreat Support: What was accomplished as a result of your work? (If relevant, enclose a copy of any documentation you may have of the work done at the meeting or retreat.)
