Non-UND students wanting
to study on a UND program,
WELCOME TO UND!
Introduction
There are times
when a particular program offered through UND will
best fit what you want and need from a study abroad
experience. The Education Abroad staff at the
UND Office of International Programs is ready to work
with you to explore what can best work for you.
To participate in a UND program as
a non-UND student you must work with your home institution,
be enrolled at UND as a "Non-Degree Seeking"
student, and then apply to the program of your choice.
This process is relatively easy.
1.
Consult with your home institution
There may have regulations
and procedures for you to follow if you study
through a program not affiliated with your home
institution. Details to explore include: registration,
financial aid, transfer of credit, etc.
Any financial aid that you get will need to be
processed through your home institution. (You
should talk with your financial aid officer to
determine if your financial aid can follow you
to another program.)
Regarding
costs, if you are not a resident of North Dakota
(or a resident of any of the border states or
provinces) the tuition would be non-resident tuition.
2.
Contact the Office of International Programs
Ask
for an application packet for the program that
you would like to participate in.
3.
Fill out the on-line application for UND
Gp to
http://www.rdb.und.nodak.edu/www_ea/plsql/ea_home
or contact UND Admissions at (701) 777-3821 or
1-800-CALL UND, for an application. In the comments
section of the application, indicate that you
want to be a "Non-Degree Seeking" student
for study abroad. There is also a $35 application
fee and your university will need to send a letter
of good standing.
If you should have any questions, please feel free
to contact us.
Hope to hear from you soon!
