BEK HALL -- Constructed in 1957, Bek Hall was the second unit completed in the Walsh Residence Hall Complex and is named after Dr. William G. Bek. Bek was dean of the College of Science, Literature, and Arts from 1930 to 1948. He came to UND in 1911 as chairman of the department of German and was instrumental in bringing a chapter of Phi Eta Sigma (a freshman honor society) to campus.
