The State of the University
Greetings

Greetings to members of the North Dakota State Board of Higher Education, Chancellor Goetz, the faculty, staff, students, alumni, members of the greater University community, and all of our friends throughout the nation and the world.

This is an especially exciting time to reflect on the accomplishments of the past year. In February 2008, we will mark the 125th anniversary of the founding of the University. We will celebrate this milestone with a number of special events and guests. It will be a time to recognize the successes that have brought this institution so far and to anticipate the even greater opportunities that lie ahead.

The following pages contain a summary of the past year by category:

  • Students, Recent Graduates and Alumni

Charles E. Kupchella

This review is, once again, one of the proudest undertakings of the year for me, and I regret that space limitations require that what follows is but a small sample of the complete record. My apologies to those whose accomplishments are not mentioned here, but I assure you that University Relations will continue to draw on the entire record in various additional publications throughout the year.

I am proud of our achievements and honored to serve as the president of The University of North Dakota.
